Higher risks of preterm birth are found among women who are: [[br]]- of Black/African American or Pacific Islander race [[br]]- older than 35 years of age [[br]]- of lower education levels (high school diploma or less) [[br]]- unmarried [[br]]- underweight or obese prior to pregnancy [[br]]- lacking any prenatal care
