Relevant Population Characteristics for Diabetes: Gestational Diabetes

Relevant Population Characteristics

All women of child-bearing age are at risk of developing gestational diabetes during pregnancy, but the risk increases for women who are older, overweight or obese, have a family history of diabetes, and who are members of certain racial or ethnic groups (in other words, the same risk factors as for type 2 diabetes).
